On a warm Halloween
A young girl wore a coat of green
Beneath her eyes, slightly wild
Hung a most bewitching smile
But as the sun sank to the ground
Her brilliant smile turned upside down
Her coat of green turned midnight black
And leathery wings grew from her back
She spread them wide and tore through the night
And those who witnessed died of fright
But there was one who wasn’t scared
A tall thin fellow with long black hair
He adored her wicked wings
They made him think of devilish things
So he called the young girl to the ground
And her angry lips turned upside down
She took his hand on the earthly floor
And the two became one but so much more
They danced with the fever that happiness brings
A boy with no name and a young girl with wings
